Looks like the rumor about the movie poster was true.

And for those wondering, the countdown is ticking towards July 4 2006, the day the first teaser trailer will be shown in theaters.

But the rumors weren't true! Bay told us that they were all wrong!

Oddly, the eye style reinforces a lot of my worries about the robot designs - 'Judge Dreadian', though I admit it's not indicative of much. the eyes do match the 'only a rumor' Starscream shot, though.

I so want a Dredd movie Hammerstein... that thing was mostly made out of polystyrene, apparently -- they did a good job aging it and making it feel like heavy metal.

Jester (a fan) did some nifty ones a while back...

They probably wouldn't fly in the current political climate...

Fantastic...great tagline, nice image...reminds me of the superb ID4 film posters. Shockingly bad film but great art work. Im confident in this film.

Hard to tell who the eye belongs to? Maybe its just a generic image for the poster.

the tagline's too similar to the one for AvP (mho) other than that, the splash page is quite nice.

Someone pointed out at the IDW forum that it's based on the Autobot logo.

Worked for Judge Dread.. not what I want to see in Transformers, though. But, like I said, way too little to tell there, the eye could be something completely whole cloth for the poster.

Oh, slag! Finally got the chance to go have a look at the site and can't access it from our work server. And I'm not allowed to set the picture as wallpaper (corporate image yadda yadda etc).

But - hey! It prints OK and is up on the noticeboard.

Does it really matter whose (Autobot) eye it is at this point? I imagine that the trailer will clarify that. They sure know how to tease!

Ah yeah, I see it now...what with the brow area and all. Very swish. Hopefully they'll do a Decepticon themed teaser as well.

I like the image, for now...I'm reserving final judgment until I see the body attached to that head.

The music is moody yet subtle, and hopefully bodes well for the rest of the score. That sound clip actually has me more excited than the poster itself.

I like the concept but not the eye. It looks too much like Dr. Doom. I wish they would have used an actual Transformer.

I love the tag line, though! I'm really excited about the movie.
