TRU Slashes G1 reissues prices (RUMOR)

Post by Cyberstrike nTo »

I've been hearing buzz lately about a huge price cut on G1 Reissues at TRU coming up, in an effort to go head to head with Wal-Mart. This graced my Inbox this afternoon and I'm glad to share it with you guys:

DEC 2ND TOYS R US G1'S PRICES CONFIRMED......

THE FOLLOWING WILL GO CLEARANCE AT TOYS R US ON DEC 2ND....

SMOKESCREEN.....$12.98
RED ALERT.......$13.98
DIRGE...........$15.98
SKYWARP.........$18.98
SILVERSTREAK....$19.98
THUNDERCRACKER..$19.98

SEEN THE MARKDOWN SHEET MYSELF TODAY AT MY LOCAL TRU IN NORTH CAROLINA THANKS
TO A VERY HELPFUL EMPLOYEE.

From seibertron.com

Edit: I did see one Rodimus Prime reissue with a $15.98 price sticker on the box at a TRU in my area.
That could've an accident, mistake, or something and since I was in a hurry I wasn't able to check it out.
Please visit Outlaw Colony my new message board it's a fun site for fun people.

Wow, I might actually be able to afford some of the reissues I'm missing. Maybe.

Well, it may only be in that area. I know my TRU's prices didn't go down the last time there was buzz about reissues being on sale.

That Rodimus Prime figure I saw was one figure out the seeming endless Rodimus Prime figures that was on the self.

Powermaster Prime with apex armour is only £19.99 from my local TRU along with figures like Jazz and Starscream at £9.99 each.

They've been knocked down that low since Spring at least, though, due to the terminal unpopularity of Series II.

My local Kay Bee in the mall is going out of business, i'm not sure if they all are, but everything is at leat 20% off. Which brings the prices to about normal, lol. :-D It's good since they've actually put the construction micromasters on the shelf along with some older energon toys.
