Beast Machines Coming To Japan In 2004

Post by Bombshell »

The following was originally posted on Tformers.com

Its not all playtime over at Takara, Japan. Most recently the cameras have been rolling on Takara's very own mobile cable channel, TAKARAND. The big news here is Beast fans in Japan will finally get to see Beast Machines in language! The show will go under the Japanese translated name of "Beast Wars Returns" and is set to debut in 2004.

Hmm. Five years late, but better than never, I guess.

Discuss.

Aren't some Japanese series still YET to receive English dub/version? I'd say five years later is indeed better than never.
-Okay, the bomb's dropped. Life goes on. No amount of sulking or worrying changes that. We've got our own lives to live. In that regard, in five minutes time, I am using the autopilot on the Midnight Runner and taking it down the pub. If I go on my own, I go on my own.
-Well. Wait up, you horrible English git. While I'm around, you don't have to go anywhere on your own.
And, one by one, the others follow.
And, one by one, they begin to smile.

To me, Beast Machines was the best animated TF series so far. Too bad they never aired it here :(

I rather like it... more complex than either 'G1' or BW... on the one hand, you have a maniacal tyrant dedicated to creating order by wiping out choice and free will... and on the other hand, you have Primal also forcing everyone to submit to radical consequences because it's either that or be wiped out.

I've only really watched the final episodes so far, but I like it.

Interesting. Beast Machines was OK but I really didn't care for it as much as Beast Wars. Hope it gains a better following in Japan then it did here.
