"...Before Cybertron was, I was"

Post by sprites touch »

Although Vector sigma isn't used much beyond TKtVS, what could the writers meen by that?
The quints in season 3 aren't part of the history yet, only the cybertonian wars(desertion of the dinobots), could that be a refrance to Primus?

Good guess, I'd say. VS almost seems like the TF God, least in the cartoon. So I think that's a logical assumption to be made.

Quints could have built vector sigma then cybertron around it.

B86, your solution fits well with continuity, but we all know how important continuity was to the writers Image
I doubt they'd bother to tie in S3 with S2, heck they didn't tie S2 to S1(lots of new charecters from nowhere).
I wonder where did the writers came up with that phrase.

Personally, I think the writers just threw it an as an "oh, this'll make the disco ball sound rilly rilly important" type phrase.

Literary device to inspire awe in the audience.

'Course, when the Quints were making their way through the guts of Cybertron in FFOD, the ugly one stuffed Vector Sigma into his athletic bag on the way through.

I think they were trying to make it sound like "sector x" or something...trying to imply that VS is the end-all be-all.

Vector sigma was used by the quints to program the transformers. It was probably created before they built cybertron, and then installed into cybertron.

Or the simpler terms: "Before Cybertron Was..."

It means before Cybertron was called Cybertron. When Cybertron was simply a factory base, with some Quint designation like CX-231-A. Cybertron probably wasn't CALLED Cybertron until after the overthrow.

VS was, as probably created to construct/prgram (or at least oversee the programming to) the worker drones. A master system...that evolved just as the worker/military drones did into something beyond.

When the Quint overthrow was done, the workers and military constructs decided to name their home.

Unless some info contradicts this, that's the theory I've always held to.

Sadly, no. We have to draw the line somewhere, and it's far easier to say "no animations" than have people arguing that, yeah it's over the file size, but the dimensions blah...

soz.
