Good to see they're going to do Armada boxsets. Nobody wants those crappy random-episode-discs they've put out thus far.

Edit: I forgot how to read...

New reply: I don't know how well you remember them but I've got season 1 part 1 and am almost through it. As compared to Transformers, GIJoe comes out looking far better. Almost all the characters are cool, Cobra Commander is the exception, and most of them get pretty good characterization.

The stories are way better. There are a few really bad ones but out of the 25 episodes I've watched so far only 4 or 5 of them are less than pretty good.

Though watching a human character speak with Optimus Prime's voice is a little unsettling...

heh G.I. joe is actually a lot more watchable.....when the plots get more inane its all the more entertaining not as many face palms...... for instance theres an episode in which cobra captures some scientists (ok thats every other episode) and then holds them in an evil cobra amusement park for the joes to go through.....if the 'cons did that id groan ..but commin from the mind of cobra commander it all seems somehow fitting. such a zany and madcap terrorist group...:D

Isn't the entirety of Beast Machines the same size as Beast Wars season 1? That didn't get split up. I guess they need time to think up more fantastic extras.

Ah well. Aug 24 is going to be a nice BW day.
Hang on to your ego.

I second that, and Hound, why not get Baxter to buy you GI Joe? You are his Master after all;)

How very nice that would be...

However, taking the man's dignity is adequate enough. Taking the man's money would just be wrong.

I know that Cobra Commander was Chris Latta, but who was the "Optimus" voice?

I can't remember.

To be fair, Airborne is the only one that actually sounds just like Optimus.

Didn't Cullen do Gun-Ho too? He sounds a bit Ironhide-ish...

Interestingly enough, it was Chris Latta who did Gung-Ho. :eyebrow:
