This one seems more impartial than the last one a month ago...

Well, as long as it keeps me distracted for however long it's playing, I'll enjoy it.

AICN really is the FOX News of dork sites... completely biased and obviously has it's own agenda. I take everything they report with a grain of salt.

I'm just as anxious as the next guy for any info as to whether this movie'll bite or not. I'm just reporting that they've got a review... which aren't exactly numerous at the moment.

Actually, I think this review is legit - it's pegged pretty much perfectly for what I've seen of the movie and script. Like I've said, it's a 'fun' and 'light' movie, which is NOT a bad thing. It's going to be a solid performer for the bulk of July .. and then Harry Potter comes.

Again, like I said, it's effectively, thematically, a rerun of ID4 and Godzilla. Not a bad thing, honestly, but NOT the second coming of Christ as some has made it out to be.

we all keep hoping for a sequel when the film could completely flop.

Remember what happened to the first transformers movie?

Generalize much? Because I certainly don't give a damn either way. :)

Edit (For the sake of humanity): Just in case some plum jumps on me – I’m not with the movie suxx0r crowd . . .

Overshadowed my STAND BY ME, released on the same day... outsold by THE CARE BEARS MOVIE... hated by parents groups for the level of violence (very unusual for the time)... and then became a cult classic over the next twenty years?

The scene with them mauling the campers is priceless.
