Sorry 'bout that

Other than making a "yea - he does look very Wheeljack-ish" comment... but I'm convinced that Tow-Line looks more like the Ghostbusters car than anything else...
That aside - add Whee...err...Downshift to the list of Energon 'bots I'll be getting thus far... That is of course, when they actually release them in Australia...

Yeah - is it just me or is it rather bizzare that in a show where the Autobots are supposed to be massively out numbered (that's why they use the "spark of combination") that there figures are running at a 2-1 or maybe even 3-1 in favor of the Autobot army?
Strange.
I can see tow-line nicely redone as Ratchet though.
And the wheeljack thing is beyond me - but look at it this way: Armada had a crane truck named smokescreen, an excavation machine with a dinobot head named hoist (yeah, switch those and there might have been alittle more logic) and a sports car that really looked like Sideswipe named Wheeljack. Do they actually look at the toys when they name them, or does it come out of a hat?

Hang on... You people are encouraging name reuse? Honestly...
Downshift looks pretty cool. Not so much a fan of Towline though.
They both seem to have rather boring vehicle modes though.

I found God. Then I lost him. He'll probably turn up down the back of the sofa someday.

Energon toy names and Continuity
These new names make no SENSE!! Hasbro should seriously think before they name! I am getting sick of seeing tf shows with no continuity too. I wish Hasbro and Takara would seriously consider a Generation 1 continuation or a prequel. Think of the awesome toys that would come out of a War Within toy line! The G1 comics are doing great and so isn't War Within. Personally I think a G1 releated cartoon would do a WORLD OF GOOD!!!! Am I the only one who thinks this?!
It would also be nice to see Masterpiece editions of the more famous chars ie. Magnus, Megatron-Galvatron, Starscream, Prowl and Soundwave but thats another story.
Downshift - To me i think his robot mode is a bit bulky and his vehicle mode is a little flat although its a nice flat vehicle mode.
Tow-Line - Yeah he is pretty bad. His face looks like it belongs to a seeker and has A REALLY horrible robot mode. Vehicle mode reminds me of the um... transformer with the wings. Can't remember the name but it was longer with a similar colour scheme. And why can't the ladder be a seperate colour i mean its not as if its blended into the thing... well it shouldn't be....
You aint the only one.. Toywise it would be nice but i don't thhink a series would work too well. TWW works well in comics and it would confuse younger audiences if it were broadcast.

Tow-Line with metal detector
Why does Tow-line have a metal detector as his energon weapon?

- Hasbro have lost a lot of the trademarks.
- Question of which continuity to follow.
- G1 is already basically told. Where do the stories fit?
- On-going storyline; line "resets" (a la Power Rangers) sell better.
