Roche had an idea for the character, who was last used to any degree of prominence in the ‘80s Transformers animated movie.
OK, I can just about believe Ryall has never seen/read Chaos/Kup's Story but the guys editing the IDW reprint of Target: 2006, you'd think he'd have at least noticed ol' Kup in that...

Prominence. The average fan can't name Chaos and won't have seen any UK stuff.
I would have assumed that my first stab at a TF story might have involved a look at the hilarious hijinks of Grimlock and Prowl as cadet Autobots, barracked together early in their career, getting into the usual sitcom scrapes (A Protoform is left at their front door; what will they do when they are faced with caring for it? Junkion businessmen arrive on a visit; will the two boys manage to avoid an intergalactic incident as they try not to offend their visitors? Grimlock water-skis over a Skarkticon, etc., etc....)
:D

I'm not wildly fired up for the Megatron book, but I think it's in good hands. :)

I would like to see them let Simon Furman do a three parter to end season 2 in the way he discribed. Maybe in a dvd form or a large one shot issue.
