Sarracini talks about G1 comic's future
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/article.php?a=572
Highlights:
- Unicron will start to play a role in the series.
- Focus of characters will be on mainly the "most recognizable" ones. :\
- TFs will interact with alien civilizations.
- No drastic change will be made (i.e. Rodimus & Galvatron taking over) anytime soon.
I'll give it a shot. Hopefully it'll be good, that's if the Dreamwave going bankrupt rumor is false.

The "most recognizable" ones? As in, the same ten characters they've focused on since the very beginning?- Focus of characters will be on mainly the "most recognizable" ones. :\

Yeah, that guy. I didn't read enough of the second WWI to really see much more than the fact that he was different looking, and was a master of some sort of dark art (I didn't have the money to keep buying comics, so I stopped. Didn't really regret it, as I was looking to stop buying a good deal of the covers I read. Were I to start again, I might catch up on GI Joe, TF and Thanos, but avoid all variant covers-in fact, I'd prolly just go for the tpbs). Although, I wouldn't be surprized if he turned out to be a big disapointment . . .

to be fair, atleast with the ongoing, theyve tried to give some lower characters some characterisation, bumper, bumblebee, jetfire, the insecticons, sunstreaker and sideswipe.

For anybody not wanting to know the result, look away now.
TF version of Lucifer. One of the original 13 Transformers created by Primus. Defected to follow Unicron (hence "The Fallen" is a title more than a name) but was banished into an alternate dimension. Freed from his prison by the teleportation thinger with OP and Megs at the end of WW vol 1, iirc.
And we're back.

Bah! That's the worst news of it all. Looks like it'll be nothing but OP, Megs, Starscream, Grimlock, Jazz, Bumblebee and Shockwave from now on.

Erm, yeh, only Bumper of those doesn't have a fan club the size of Birmingham.
Bumblebee was third only to Op and Megs for 1980s exposure.
