"Alignment" online

Post by Osku »

Transforce (UK based Transformers convention) organizer Paul Cannon has posted an excellent news on a few Transformers sites. "Alignment", a semiofficial conclusion to Marvel G2 comic written by Simon Furman for Transforce 2001 & 2002, is now available on his Transforce site.

From Transfans

"After years of begging (mostly from the yanks), I've finally put Alignment in the public domain. It's available as a PDF on the Transforce site which has been revamped (again).

Paul (yes I am still alive and well) Cannon

Although the conversation usually dries up pretty fast once they've actually read the thing...

Still, nice that it's out there now for those who want to.

When I read it, it opened in adobe acrobat and did not allow me to download it. Try reading it, fallen.

From the other replies, I guess I'm one of the few people that liked it...
Few stuff in the UK to trade/sell. Measly sales thread.

It makes for a great story - if it's a six-issue comic book mini-series.

Is it me, or did Simon Furman seem more interested in blowing things up than in pursuing character development?

Adobe Acrobat will allow you to save it once the file's open.

Just figured out that there's a separate save button for adobe. Talk about graduating in computer networks...

Has the Alignment book always been a "novel"? I had always assumed it was a comic book.

Nope... it was a text story, I believe put out in a "comic" format [i.e. it did have a cover]. It's not really a novel, though, as it's about 9 pages long and Simon probably wrote it on his lunchbreak.

:) I can see it now...

"Simon, can you write an end to the Generation 2 epic storyline, work in huge elements of the Generation 1 comic and provide a transition to Beast Wars and Beast Machines?"

"Okay, just let me finish this sandwich..."
