New Japanese movie toys: Black Arcee, Trans Scanning Bumblebee and Optimus Prime

Original source appears to be the Bo-Ya Rakuten shop. Autobase Aichi first reported it, and TFormers offers an English translation without giving credit.

The Classics were reported before, and most of the Movie toys (including the Screen Battles packs) will most likely be barely different from their US counterparts.

That leaves black Arcee and "Trans Scanning" Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. More information on the latter here courtesy of Gaokaiser.

Scans were posted at the Hong Kong newsgroup talk.transformers and mirrored at TFW2005. Because those of you without an account at TFW2005 can't view them, I'm mirroring them here.

Actually, this kind of brings up a question I had...what are the names used for the Transformers in Japanese? (because I can't read it here) Did they at least stick with Convoy? Or were they forced to use "Optimus Prime" or some sort of translation of that?

What about the others?

(I just wasn't sure, with this being a movie and all, and Bay not budging on the whole Devastator/Brawl thing, even though Hasbro is not following what's in the movie, I wondered if he would dictate the names there too...or if they at least got the names they're used to)

My katakana skills are rusty, but I'm about 20% sure that it says "Optimus Prime" next to the DVD exclusive spychanger...

That's correct. Takara finally used (or had to use) the correct names for the movie characters.
