What exactly did Marvel have against Inferno and Red Alert anyway?

What exactly did Marvel have against Inferno and Red Alert anyway?

Post by Cliffjumper »

I mean, I know Simon used them to random up some subgroups and they both got to have violent deaths in G2 (like pretty much everyone else), but what the Hell did Marvel US have against them? Take up valuable panel time for Blastervine to be a chippy schizo? Would they have squeezed Circuit Breaker and RAAT out of the storyline?

Actually, considering what Marvel were putting in the jar on the shelf to marinade Bob's brain, they got off lightly I suppose...

Oh, come now! Inferno dies a hero! Very myffic death, yes? Chuck your uninjured mate out and, fatally wounded, crash into enemy lines...

That was in 2008! How come he didn't get to hang out with Brick Springstern or whatever he was called?

Red ink is more expensive, obviously.

Can't waste it on minor characters. ;)

I suspect they might not have wanted to cause confussion through Nel's inept colouring by having Inferno and Grapple about at the same time (though that doesn't really apply to Red Alert as Sideswipe had pretty much faded by that point).

Best serious bet is that he simply didn't have room for them in Rock'N'Roll Out and planed to introduce them latter, but never got round to it.

They got some though. But the demanding bastards wanted so much more. It's why they were dropped in the end.

didn't one of them get dropped through the windscreen.

Theses contract negotiations can be a killer.
