According to the June 14th issue of
Video Business (a Video trade publication):
Hasbro is teaming with Paramount Home Entertainment to release a series of animated DVD premier movies based on Hasbro toys.
This includes a GI Joe DVD to be released in September and a Transformers: Energon DVD in October.
The deal includes long term world wide distrubition rights for Paramount of numerous Hasbro brands.
Hasbro will devolp and produce the movies.

Nice... I hope there's a lot of extra clips and goodies on the next set of DVDs...

so whats happened to rhino ?thought they were doing the TF dvd's ?

Rhino is taking the existing episodes and putting them on DVD, sounds like Hasbro and Paramount are going to make some kind of animated movies. Probably something like hour long episodes. You know, like Mary Kate and Ashley Oslen had those straight to video movies...I would guess something like that.

Thing that gets me is that Rhino doesn't have rights to do Energon.

Not yet... After Energon is over and not being shown on Cartoon Network anymore, Rhino should be able to pick it up and put it on DVD.
