So what's the garter for? A cleverly-disguised (and really flimsy) sweatband?
This is just...weird. It doesn't even look like exercise gear - based mainly on the packaging - so how on earth did they think they'd get away with that?

Doubt it was in a "toys and games" section unless they've got one specifically for party games and adult stuff (shot glasses, etc.)
The Daily Mail is a shock tabloid masquerading as a family paper:
They also steal and reword column material --

Just as a quick overview, that article goes from "The £49.97 kit" to "This will be sold to four, five and six-year olds" in the space of a few sentences.
Basically: lying scum-suckers.

Pole dancing and health
Actually, there are people who offer "pole dancing for fitness" classes. (Link is borderline work-safe, depending on what your boss thinks of employees looking at advertisements for stripping lessons that feature clothed women winding themselves around a pole.)Originally posted by rubicon
A (Tesco) spokesman added: "Pole dancing is an increasing exercise craze. This item is for people who want to improve their fitness and have fun at the same time."
OTOH, women who strip occupationally can end up with back problems from dancing in heels and/or neck problems from tossing their hair around.
But yes, the Daily Mail can't be trusted. If that pole dancing kit exists as depicted, it's much more likely that it was sold as a gag gift for adults.

Saves me digging up a link. Twas my general reaction on first reading this thread...
Hell, there was even an episode of CSI that touched on the practise.

Do I look like your idea of a pole dancer? (Though if I were more than a quarter Polish I could do a joke there...)
It's not the toys from tesco you should be worrying about, it's the fact we **** up the health and safety laws constantly when it comes to chilled food storage.

And you can be my long lost pal!
No wait, wrong song.
Am I the only one worried about how much Cliffy knows about the negative effects of wiping ones arse with newspaper?
We had a days manager at work this week called Neil Ross! Who joins the long list of Tesco managers with celebrity names (after Steve "Million Doller Man Not That Twaty Wrestler" Austin and Andrew "The Killer in Dirty Harry and Garek" Robinson). Sadly at no point did Neil say "I've got better things to do tonight than die", even though we all wished him dead.
