How do you remove the front wheels from a G1 Optimus Prime

I recently bought a G1 Optimus Prime whose leg is broken. I have some old parts that I want to fix this one with. The silver leg piece that goes from knee to hip is broken. How can I get this thing apart?

I'm not sure. I've looked and pondered it several times. I think the only people who know how to take it apart are the ones who assembled it in the first place..

Unscrew absolutely everything? Only thing I can think of. You may end up needing to find a new pin and just breaking off the old one.

IT is impossible

i replaced a junker prime's hips completely

you know i replace the G1 pin with Ball and Socket joints (makes him almost completely posable)

i wanted to save the pieces i replaced, incase i needed them or something, but i ended up haveing to tear the whole thing apart
