Well, it's not ILLEGAL to break a street date, though it's usually a violation of some contract or another. It's also possible that TRU had simply ordered more of the 'current' toys, and got movie toys in instead...
(And, lastly, didn't HASBRO say that the movie toys would start this month, well before the movie?)

Actually, we were told they'd start shipping this month.
May 2nd would be the official release of the preview figures (Protoforms Optimus and Starscream).
June 2nd would be the official release of the movie line figures themselves.
Went to my local TRU (which is about 45 from the second TRU, and 75 from the first.) and they do have them in the back, and absolutely refused to sell them to me.
I told them about the Elyria thing and they said it must've been a fluke and there's no way they'll help me.

I agree. Bonecrusher is totally awesome, best deluxe in the series. Blackout is the best voyager as well. Brawl looks good too.
I can't say I liked Jazz at all. I liked the dark-windowed test shot better, but even that wouldn't fix the fact that the robot mode looks short and fat.
Bumlubee is, well, ok. Guess I'll wait for the '08 version.
