Micromaster Trains... in Cybertron?

Post by Nevermore »

We saw prototypes last year... and P.Prime heard a rumor of them having surfaced in-packaging a few months ago. Finally, they showed up:

That's Overload (San Diego), Drench? (Atlan), Rapid Run (Raise), Rail Spike (Desire), Swindle (Convertor) and Midnight Express (Windy).

And yes, that's SixTRAIN, not SixLINER.

Gah. Just sell the damn things as a set... combiners didn't work in the past due to availability and buyers suffer the same problems now...

Is it just a packaging error, like the Universe Protectobots with energon packaging, or are they going to be part of the Cybertron line?

Why was that a "packaging error"?

I thought they were part of the Universe line, therefore I would assume they would have Universe packaging.

There is no such thing as a "Universe line" in Europe.

I mean, it's not like Hasbro have some spare Energon packaging lying around, and accidentally slipped some Micromasters into it or something...

Since we're in a correcting contest today, the 2nd train is named Tankor/Tanker, not Drench.

Ummmm, Who said anything about a "correcting contest"? If you're viewing this with any sort of competition, you've got Nevermore completely wrong - and are picking a fight with a good guy for no reason.

He posted "Drench?" with the question mark indicating that he wasn't sure if the name was correct - obviously the source he was given was wrong on that one - not a big thing it happens all the time.

You could have said this in a nice mannor - instead you tried to put Nevermore down? And for what reason?

Mark's just being an abrasive git. If he strays particularly out of boundaries we'll string daisies through his hair or something...

On-topic, for anyone who's not seen the combined mode I think this is it;

Oh I like that combined form! It looks like you can actually move his arms so he can hold his gun in a semi-normal fashion.

Ah, he's doing that all the time. Nothing new to see here. ;)

1st They could also fit in Energon (combination feature) .... they only need some traslucent blue

2nd I don't like the combined form of the Micromaster combiner (Devastator and Piranacon - who build this pieces of art?)

3rd Well, it's just a curiosity, but, how the European market work? Or, why my parents doesn't lived in Japan or US?

The European market is basically like gambling.

First Hasbro pick the toys that are going to be released in Europe via lucky draw, and then the decide which countries are going to get those toys in a game of dart throwing.

Then how come there's none here?:p

On topic, looks okay, it'd be nice to have a closer look but i doubt i'll ever see it here, we only just got Energon ShockBlast and Cliffjumper ( the TF section has been replaced by wrestling figures by my local TRU).

I was chating to the bloke who runs Auto Assembly a few months ago, according to him the Energon micromasters had been a suprise success for hasbro UK, going off the shelves faster than shops could get them in. He said then they were looking at the idea of releasing more that hadn't come out in America, guess he was right... He also said that Hasbro UK has recently had a change in management, and the new boys are much bigger on listening to fans of their various franchises about what might be cool to release.
