"Agent Meister" stickers on TrU Jazz reissue

Post by DrSpengler »

Does that make any sense to you? I mean, couln't Hasbro have used the American sticker sheet?

I have a Japanese Jazz with the "Agent Meister" stickers adorned all over him and I don't care because it's a Japanese reissue. But why put that **** all over the American version? COuld Hasbro not locate the original US sticker sheet? Is is this just another money saving technique?

I dunno. Seems kind of stupid to me.

You must be referring to the "Martini Porsche" label that was used for the 1980's Jazz. However Hasbro has since lost the license for the name sake logo of Porsche. So it was probably just a decision they made rather than come up with a new logo.

BTW its just not Jazz that has the Jap sticker sheets, Hot Rod, and Starscream both came with them.

Yeah, Hasbro uses all the Japanese reissue stickersheets. I guess to save money or something.

Yeah I'm planning on getting the Hasbro one even though I have the Jap reissue. I'm hoping that the Hasbro one will have tighter joints and also the roof attaches properly for the first time ever, not even the diaclone was like this. Always my Starscream has very tight joints unlike what I heard about the Jap one so there you go.

I would say that in an American society like the one today, they wouldn't be allowed to put a decla for an alcoholic drink on a toy... I mean, they're only aimed at older collectors, not exclusive to them... It'll be interesting to see what happens with Mirage, as Citanes was pushing it back in 1984 [at the time, it was more explicit than what Ligier were actually allowed to put on the car at "non-tobacco" Grand Prix...].
