wow....im gonna be optimistic because i didnt see catwoman because i think whoever destroyed the movie was the costume designer. but that wasnt what confused me...it was the
i wish i could have a fricken sandwich maker that turns into a robot...that would be pretty fricken cool
and also judging from his other movies that hes done (The Core and American Outlaws) im starting to lose my optimistic-ness...and how do Core and AO count as comic book adaptations?...this article confuses me and scares me at the same time
the good guys traditionally turn themselves into nice objects, like cars, trucks, and sandwich makers, while the Decepticons – boo! Hiss! – become less helpful objects, like guns, and remote controls with the batteries missing

Could do.
Rogers didn't actually write Catwoman alone. According to IMDB.com it was:
Story: Theresa Rebeck, John Brancato & Michael Ferris
Screenplay: John Brancato, Michael Ferris & John Rogers
With the characters credited to Bob Kane.
As such, it's pretty hard to surmise exactly how much Rogers contributed. We shouldn't really pre-judge him based solely on a movie that he co-wrote an unknown quantity of the script for.
The Core was also a co-written job (with Cooper Layne), as was American Outlaws (screenplay co-written with Roderick Taylor, who gets full story credit).
De Santo's only previous writing credit is X-Men, where he only gets a story co-credit with Singer (the script going to David Hayter). That makes him half-responsible for plot-holes, but not dodgy dialogue.
I'm willing to wait and see. At least it's not Mad Brick, though.

Don Murphy just addressed the matter on his board:

We all read his draft of Catwoman.
It was awesome.
We all thought the film Catwoman sucked ass.
Remember one of my fellow producers on this is Lorenzo D'buonaventura who worked on Catwoman at Warners.
Films turn out good or bad and get rewritten and other people get credit all the time.
John Rogers is one of us. He gets this.

Oh great.
I'd love to believe Murphy on this, but I can't force myself, really.
So, this is the guy who helped create the Catwoman that claimed that there were many Catwomen throughout history, and they're tied into how the ancient Egyptians worshipped cats?
Oh-kay...so now, I'm expecting the TFs to be experimental war machines created by the Nazis with some archane tech during WW2, in order to crush the Allied scum or something. The Autobots - who were designed more for transport than combat - rebelled, and buried themselves and the 'Cons beneath the surface of the globe, until a six-year-old somehow reactivated the Convenient Repair Drone/Plot Device(tm), thus causing the TFs to come back to life, and the 'Cons to once again strive to bring the Third Reich upon all of humanity. HEIL MEGSY!

Really this will be a hard one to predict. Rogers helped make the screenplay which isn't the story i.e. he made the script for the actors to read not the story itself. Does this mean I have faith in Spielburg................ let's see he hasn't made a really decent films have been made by him in a while and there's no garuntee he'll direct the film so, I wait and watch to see what becomes of it.
