Those are legit HK sellers that deal in official product, not stolen factory samples.

UPDATE:

Huh? 24?!?

UPDATE:

Alternators Ravage on eBay in US packaging. Looks like someone got the motherload.

Example auction for Ravage:

Example auction for Ravage/Rumble set:

Looks like his motto is "Decepticons forever".

And if my sources are correct, his number is 26, which would make #24 Rumble an error.

So apparently, Ravage and Rumble are due for a US release soon. According to certain "awesome inside sources", they might end up as Wal*Mart exclusives.

Reckon we're going to see some Alternators restocking for the movie, or is Hasbro putting most of its eggs in the new design basket?

Considering how the Alternators line has been doing in the past, I think our American friends are lucky that Rumble and Ravage are actually still being released in one way or another.

Agreed. Target cleared them all out a while back and isn't carrying anymore. Wal-Mart has already had a couple clearances, so I'm afraid we'll be lucky if they come in at all. Maybe for once we'll be the ones whining about import prices.
Stupid twisted fate. We're AMERICA!!

That's right. We are.

And, like it or not, Alternators failed in the marketplace - largely due to cost and complexity, coupled with STRICT and EXPENSIVE licensing agreements.

That's pretty damn American, when you think on it.

True. US software patents are already driving innovation abroad.

What do we reckon Alternators cost per unit to produce, versus other Transformers that retailed for $20?

Does anyone know if Rumble has hands that are switchable with his ground pounders or is it just those?

Also is the Alternator line getting cancelled then? Has Binaltech been cancelled? I thought it had but also thought I saw new releases with Op and Nemesis Op.

I saw an auction for Kitty Ravage that said it wouldn't be released at all in the US. Is that true, or just someone trying to run up the bids? I'm assuming the latter, but has anyone heard anything different?

I would strongly assume the latter. Hasbro were showing both of them off at Botcon last year and still have preview pictures on their main US site.

Personally, I love whenever someone takes the random name an eBay seller attaches to a prototype stolen from the factory as an indication for the toy's final name, especially when it contradicts previously revealed information.

Alternators is effectively over as of the releases of Rumble and Ravage. It's unlikely that we'll see any more figures, since the remaining recolors have apparently been cancelled as well. (Again, things can change, but considering how poor Alternators performed over the last year, I wouldn't expect much.)

Binaltech seems over, with the exception of 'Black Convoy', which seemed to be a last-minute bone to the kiddies. Kiss Players is all that remains, and even THAT is using other molds rather than new Alternators... why, I've got no idea, but I can HOPE that line dies a horrible death anyway, right?

Plus, Kiss Players has been e-Hobby exclusive repaints of G1 cassettes and conventione xclusive Eggbots repaints lately. No new Alternators molds in the KP line have been announced lately.

Update: Apparently the seller just got them from his local Wal*Mart store, so it would seem they're already OUT.

I guess I'll keep checking my local Walmart. I hate to do it, but I'm probably going to buy Ravage since this is the end of the line and that way I can say I have a complete set...except that I still won't have Nemesis Prime.

EDIT - It was confirmed. Further down the thread (not sure what page), someone posted a picture with receipt and product numbers (065356925135 & 065356925134). Someone also said that both the Alts and Classics Devastator are supposed to be put on display in "week 10," and it's currently week 8 or 9.

Yeah, already reported the confirmation here:

There have been other sightings in the past few days, someone from TFW even got a full case complete with display piece and all.

Has anyone confirmed/denied whether the "24" Rumbles are errors? I found them here at Wal-Mart and would get a second one if there's going to be a packaging change.
