Love the way the robot modes are reminiscent of the old shells.

Superb.
However a tad confusing...
While lurking on the IDW boards I saw a poster wondering the same thought as myself to whether the shells are simply more robotic here or if they are somehow merged with the TF. Also sharing that poster's sentiments I have to say as much as I love the new designs I thought the organic shells could have worked well with the Infiltration motif
Also prompted by my lurking, but isn't Bombburst's design far too similar to Monstructor, it has/will caused a bit of confusion.
Anyway its truly corking stuff.

Nah, bass is saying he'd like to see Monstructor and Terrorcons.Originally posted by Aardvark

What's disguise-like about the original Decepticon Pretender shells?
Bludgeon seems such an obvious design when you see it like that, but it really works. I'm also digging the way the colours aren't ludicrously bright.

Oh I was thinking on the lines of Infiltrating other "Alien" planets but after some thought I don't think I'd want to see a giant bat/iguana/octopus/Tom Selleck on steroids/etc populated planets

My sentiments exactly. Still imagine he didn't give Bludgeon a sword, the sheer outcry that would occur, odd considering his toy never had one.
I still say Bombburst looks far too much like Monstructor;)

Is it me, or does Plucky Little IDW's site always take an age to load? No, wait, don't tell me, it's intentionally slow to reinvent the medium and it's nothing like Dreamwave's so ner. I really do like those Technobots, though. Let's hope they aren't just lumbered with Furduction line personalities, though.

Yeah, they might as well use TIFFs rather than 100% JPEGs...
That's another one of those comutery comments you make that I never understand and am terrified to reply to, not knowing whether to go "Yeh, good point" or "LOL", thus avoiding looking like a plank, isn't it?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet Oooh, it's on computers now
Basically they should increase the compression on the JPEGs when they export them for the site -- it's a needless drain on both their bandwidth and that of site users. JPEG works by throwing away parts of the image, and you can generally do that by at least 5% or 10% on non-photo images without any change perceptible to the vast majority of people.
It's also why it's a bad idea to use JPEG as a permanent archival format.

I'm not sure why Don's bothered coming up with new Cybertronian modes for Megs and Prime, especially when Devils Due seem able to use the old ones. I supose it might be to distance it from DW's work, but in that case he could have made more of an effort with Prime who isn't hugely different.

Artistic development? Tweaks minus Pat-vision, is my best guess.Originally posted by inflatable dalek
