"Mayuko Iwasa" Meister at a toy show?!?

Post by Nevermore »

For those who don't remember: Two years ago, when Takara released Binaltech Meister, a popular Japanese bikini model named Mayuko Iwasa selected a special color scheme for a one-of-a-kind version of Meister, which would be signed and auctioned for charity.

You can see some images here:

Well... looks like it's back. Apparently, this was shown at a current toy show.

There will be a time, very far into the future, when a thread that somehow touches the topic of an attractive real-life woman will not get any "I would do her" or "does she come with the toy?" responses.

I'm really looking forward to that day. :)

Good God. Is Meister now in pink and baby blue?!?! This might be the long awaited way to get my 11 year old niece hooked on Transformers!!! She'd probably like that. (I've already got my 5 year old nephew hooked.)

I am trying to decide if that is a cool, scary or just plain wrong.

I think it's safe to say that there IS NOW OFFICIALLY a standard to which we can refer to repaints as CRAP.

Oh we knew that standard existed for some time now. I am too tried to go off on a repaint rant though :)

I agree with you. I wouldn't have noticed or cared about the human if someone hadn't mentioned her.
I still don't care about the human.

Meister's color scheme reminds me of a Lego car.

Oh, don't get me wrong - I do find her attractive, it's just that I'm not going "OMG A GRIL" everytime I see a photo of a female.

She just raped poor Meister. This is why stupid people shouldn't be making decisions on toys. I don't what's dumber, that fact that someone had to idea to get her to do this, or the colors she chose.

I think the Meister looks like an Easter special repaint, but it least it doesn't blind you ala Sunstorm.

Oh come on. The only reasons the toy is significant are:

A. It was coloured by a Japanese model
B. It's a **** colour scheme.

It's obvious to anyone that this thread has at maximum three topics of conversation, and who really gives a damn that the toy is being displayed in some random Japanese convention?
