Hm.. teaser isn't really going to be a comment on the movie, so I'll keep the comments to the teaser itself.
Spoilers? Well, not really.
Well, start off, the premise given in the teaser is... well, okay, this is a fictional universe, but there's a lot of 'real world' terms used. We have a European rocket mission, on a US rocket, sending a lander probe which isn't a roller, that turns into a roller, that finds something odd - so the US Government classifies the European mission and claims that the probe crashed?
The trailer spends a LOT of time building up the 'government classified our warning' scene before 'showing' a weakly CGI Megatron attacking the probe. I suppose it's trying to build up tension, but it doesn't really work here. It shows too little, actually.
Another oddity is how Micheal Bay makes it a point to have his name as the apparent sub-title. Is this really a selling point? I don't see a ****-load of people saying "Man! The guy who did Catwoman?! COOL!"
That out of the way, the visuals only looked bad on the CGI Megatron which was undetailed and deliberately vauge. It also tends to lend to the 'Judge Dredd Robot' that some leaked images and the Bumblebee 'Model' seem to follow.
Why doesn't this really impact the movie?
Well, it's a lot better of a trailer than Spiderman's god-awful original trailer. It's a teaser, so it's really to drum up interest and get the name out, and it will do that.
But I'm not sure that the teaser is that effective - "Look, another sci-fi invasion show with a government conspiracy" has been done to death (even the comics have had no less than four major story-arcs with this concept in the past three years), and that probably wouldn't have been the angle I would have gone with to drum up interest.

Unless Bay went by the alias of Pitof when directing "Catwoman", not many people will think that actually.

EDIT - Now it's loading, but the announcement won't load. Is anyone else having the same problem using Firefox?
That's because the entire internet is currently trying to access it at once.

Michael Bay, although not nearly the best director in the world, will put asses in the seats because makes big movies that sell popcorn. He'll be a draw for the part of the population that isn't a slobbering Transformers fan.
The Catwoman guy, John Rogers, didn't do anything critical on this movie. Just the screenplay. It's not like that sort of thing has ever made a movie suck. It's not like he's the guy who wrote The Core. I mean, there's a steaming pile of... oh... wait...
"It goes 'bing' when there's stuff."

I seem to be getting some sort of semi-animated movie poster and the site won't show me or let me do anything else. Am I having the same problem Auros is having?
"Gotta admire a guy who brings a nuke to a gunfight."
"I'm not a real actor, but I play one on T.V."
"I'm like a superhero with no powers or motivation."
Maximus Prime! He does his own stunts!
