Man, that is one low powered team...

Looks like Simon will be writing the Ronan the Accuser story.

I don't know who pencilled that promo pic, but that has to be some of the most KICKASS artwork I have seen in comic history. Kinda of looks like Ross, but I'm not sure.

Like the painted artwork.

Can't say as I'm interested in the characters, though.

Yeah, I said pencilled, by I guess its painted.

Actually, what I've enjoyed most about Marvel has been its more cosmic characters, like the Silver Surfer, Galactus, etc.

However, some of them rank as the worst characters in history:

-Lord Order and Master Chaos, two giant heads, one a bald white dude, the other the mask from that painting, The Scream. http://returntocomics.typepad.com/photo ... order1.gif
-the In-Betweener. http://marvelite.prohosting.com/surfer/ ... eener.html
-Eternity http://marvelite.prohosting.com/surfer/ ... rnity.html
-the Living Tribunal. What the **** is up with his head? http://www.marveldirectory.com/individu ... ibunal.htm

The most lame characters, possibly in any genre of sci-fi.

Sounds more like like a rip-off of The Rann-Thangar War and the rest of DC's The Countdown to Infinte Crisis series.

It's cool to see the Silver surfer and Thanos showing up again

Am I right to assume this is not TF-related aside from Furman being involved?

If so, I'd say of to Non-TF Animation/Comics.
Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.
Can buy in stores: Robot Heroes Tigatron/Inferno, Ricochet/Predaking.

Interestingly, March's Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe has all three Death's Heads on the cover - check the solicits at Newsarama.

I think a certain amount of related stuff is fine (mentioning every side project of every letterer who ever worked on Marvel UK issues, who isn't doing current TF work, on the other hand...) and the thread had already been posted in Comics.

It's interesting that stuff such as TFs and Death's Head can be a springboard to working on other titles, in universes in which TFs nominally exist.

However, we're not exactly short of news at the moment, and I did put Nevermore in charge... so it's his call.

Yup, format's a rip of IC which in it's own way is a rip of Age of Apocalypse...

And Isn't the Rann-Thanagar war just a rip of the Kree-Skrull war? Or Galactic Storm?

;)

I don't know I never read much of Marvel's cosmic stuff that didn't
have Jim Starlin writing or drawing it.

More on the project

I've liked most of the stuff Andy Schmidt's edited as well as Keith Giffen's stuff. I'll wait to see the reviews before I pick it up though. Seems like it could be an interesting character story.

It's great for Furman that he's slowly working his way back into the main Marvel universe... Hopefully next time it'll be a charecter I've heard of...

O:GS was fairly awesome (the What If? was also cool, where Earth's destroyed on the second page...) - the only thing it suffered from was the variable art for stuff like the Wonderman installments, and it grinding to a halt for Cap #400. Though Cap #400 had Batroc in it, so I'll let it off.
