I like José. It wasn't his fault Marvel didn't play to his strengths and promote him to teaboy.

Choices, choices...
I'll just go with the obvious one;
Pat "doing what it takes necessary to get there and taking action" Lee

I miss the days when the entire fandom was united against Bob Skir. Tree hugging bastard.

That was pretty much my thought as soon as I saw the thread title.

I'll go for that Benson Yee chap, on the grounds I've a feeling he provided Furman with all the crap fanwanky ideas in the BW books...

Falls down slightly on the grounds that Furman wrote great big chunks of Reaching the Omega Point in the first place.

I can't believe he's the one who came up with rubbishey reason for characters who never had them in the TV show to suddenly have had Transmetal forms all along though.

Plus, we can't thump Furman. Who'd write Transformers comics if he didn't?

Well, from my understanding, Furmo wrote the Sourcebook biographies for the show characters, whilst Ben was lumbered with the rest.

Someone else? If it's a viable way of getting some new blood on at least some of the books (he's doing fine on IDW 'G1', less so on everything else) I'll go to Auto Assembly and deck him myself.

Nick Roche's spotlight was top. Quite remains to be seen how Moore's will be. Though my interpretation of comments is that Furmo's only doing 3/5 of the new wave of Spotlights... so could be interesting.

I still maintain that Furman arrange for crap flinging monkeys to write both Megatron and the Avengers crossover in order to make himself look irreplacable. I suspect he arranged for Nick to be moved onto the Who book by the same token...

You know, there aren't that many people who have been involved with Transformers for real that really deserve a fist visited upon their face.

I think Kasey Kasem needs slapped once, for getting on his high-horse about 'Karbombya' despite his long career of racist and stereotypical portrayals (even of Arabs) for Hanna Barberra.. but real violence? No.

But there is Pat Lee... who, yeah, probably deserves a good roughing up, since he WAS malicious and screwing over people left and right, as well as having an ego that puts a room with me and David Willis to shame.

Pat Lee deserves no small measure of violence directed at him, but I'd rather he get it from the writers and artists he didn't pay than from me.

He's not on the list, but Alan Dean Foster deserves a good bashing for writing several professional Transformers novels without so much as bothering to do a single bit of research into the subject he's being paid to write about. That sort of hackery gives writers everywhere a bad name.

Speaking of which...Eric Holmes. Nasty (and at least partly deserved) criticisms of his work aside, from reading his posts over at the IDW forum he seems like a gigantic prick.

Is "E-Rock" the one who wrote a "From the desk of..." piece that was entirely in what he no doubt thought was gangsta-rapping? I'm tempted to go for him, but can't actually remember what he did on Transformers...

So many choices!
But today, I'd have to say Eric Holmes.
