New York Comic Con figure reveals

Post by Clay »

Apparently there's a NYCC now. Not to be confused with the big toy trade show that happens in January/February. Some new stuff, though:

Generations Legends Huffer and Leader class Jetfire remolded into IDW Thundercracker

Robots In Disguise legion figures

Robots In Disguise one-step changers

Robots In Disguise deluxe figures

New Kreo figures

Thundercracker looks pretty awesome - a better use of the Jetfire mould than er, Jetfire, but TC isn't really a character screaming for a new toy.

Absolutely zero interest in the rest.

Pretty much the same feelings here. I'd be marginally interested in Huffer, but that's it. I assume Thundercracker is a harbinger of Starscream and Skywarp.

That's a nice left-field choice of a reuse for Jetfire and looks nice, but I personally have no interest in any more Seekers.

Huffer's feet in truck mode are embarrassing.

I do feel an ill-advised attraction towards the Combiner Wars Aerialbots (Air Raid & Skydive especially). Superion, plus the rumoured Defensor, would be on my radar for sure.*

Plus, Kreon brick built Soundwave. Soundwave looks pants, but he seems to come with tiny Kreon versions of Laserbeak, Rumble and Frenzy. Wo0t! I would love to get these. **

* If they ever release these things in the UK. Which they probably won't. Why do I bother? :(

** No, really. More likely to find a Yeti in TRU. Why do I bother? :(

Thundercracker looks nice. Like him enough to get one, and my sister has my MP Thundercracker so there's a blue jet shaped hole in my collection at the moment.

Motormaster and even Prime look nicer now than before.

RID figures look like simple fun. With the set up it might have potential to be something great.
Few stuff in the UK to trade/sell. Measly sales thread.

Just watched the couple of clips from the new cartoon on TFW2005, looks pretty good :)
