TransFans.net interview with Geoff "Geoff Senior" Senior.

Spidey did it again and landed a nice little Q&A with some obscure bloke who used to work on some comic or another? I don't know. I just do as I'm told:

A hugely nice and very humble guy to meet as well.

Those two pages from the Titan comic are coloured differently from the issue I've got (the Allspark is light blue in it and there's more red on Prime)- Were those advance pages?

Was always one of my favourite artists back in then, along with Jeff Anderson and Staz.

It's Senior's colours, I think he did it for his own amusement.
-Okay, the bomb's dropped. Life goes on. No amount of sulking or worrying changes that. We've got our own lives to live. In that regard, in five minutes time, I am using the autopilot on the Midnight Runner and taking it down the pub. If I go on my own, I go on my own.
-Well. Wait up, you horrible English git. While I'm around, you don't have to go anywhere on your own.
And, one by one, the others follow.
And, one by one, they begin to smile.

Thanks for the nice find! A good read; it's nice to actaully learn about Senior as a person. And I'm digging that Megatron cover... It's another indication that you TF UK readers had it better than us American schlubs, even with reprints of American stories...

He probably earns more from advertising in a year than Su would in a lifetime... The vague undertone is he's kept fandom at arm's length because he's actually capable of putting bread on the table without the thing.

Got to love the utterly nonplussed cover evaluations. Class bloke - note how he found employment beyond cheerleading for Furman, and isn't utterly reliant on Baskers... Fan interviews only work with people like that who aren't raging egomaniacs...

The reaction to the Headmasters one is fab.

In fairness, Wildman must have been doing something to but food on the table in the years between G2 and Dreamwave. Working the docks or somesuch.

I do remember an old interview where he was very proudly banging on about how many copies of X-Men Adventures #1 (for those blessed with not knowing, X-MA was the comic adaptation of the 1990s Fox cartoon...)... I think the docks would have been a much more dignified way of getting the money.

Mind, clearing Furman's desk out of various Marvel offices would probably have been a full--time job.

If I were Furman I'd save time by just working from home.

Wait- Furman wrote for the TV version of that X-Men thing didn't he? Is that recent GI Joe crossover the only time Wildman's done work with no relation to da Boss?

No, he wrote for the other TV series, X-Men: Evolution.

I remember Wildman also doing some Black Cat mini-series in the 90s.

It suddenly hit me I had my decades mixed up when I left the computer.

Did Senior actually do any Doctor Who stuff beyond the Death's Head crossover?
