Tony Pope Passes Away

Post by Bombshell »

Quoted from TheAllSpark

The Allspark would like to extend its condolences to the family and friends of Tony Pope, known among our circles as the voice of A-3 and Wreck-Gar during the third season of Transformers: Generation 1. Pope could most recently be heard as the voice of Gepetto in the video game Kingdom Hearts, and he lent his talents to several English-dubbed anime as well as American productions.

That's a shame.

He did an excellent job filling in for Eric Idle.

Too bad.

The only ones I know off hand are Chris Latta (Starscream, Cobra Commander/Snake) and Scatman Crothers (Jazz).

Ed Gilbert, and yes I believe he has, as has Bert Kramer (Computron).

According to Zobovor , so have Rege Cordic (Menasor; Quintesson Judge (The Transformers: the Movie)), Linda Gary (Chromia? ("The Search for Alpha Trion" [TF]) Aaron ("Child's Play" [TF]); Princess, Witch ("Nightmare Planet" [TF])), Johnny Haymer (Highbrow; Swindle; Vortex Caliburst, Recoil ("The Rebirth") Roland ("B.O.T." [TF])), and Stan Jones (Scourge; Pounce; Weirdwolf (casting only) Lord Zarak ("The Rebirth")).

That's quite a few, but far, far from most.
Hang on to your ego.

So the next question is, who's gonna be next?

My vote goes to Leonard Nemoy. He's what, in his late 70's?
