Binaltech Meister pre-release?

Post by Nevermore »

On August 24, Fan to Fan reported the following:
BT-08 Meister feat. Mazda RX-8 in vehicle mode, it was also reported that an official Mazda event to be held in Tokyo on 16 Sep will be selling BT-08 in advance. This news was also featured on the official Takara TF site. At this time, the date and venue of the event is subjected to change. Official release will be late Sep.
Not sure if that's the same occasion mentioned in the next link, but there was a "COREDO Garage Event" in Japan today where one could buy BT Meister before his official release date:

Also note the REAL prototype and the concept designs.

According to what was reported earlier, the OFFICIAL release date will be September 30. And since Hasbro Meister is also scheduled for a September release, it looks like they're going to be released simultaneously, which would be a premiere for the BT/Alt line.

I was just about to say thats ages away before I looked at the date. So we're only a couple of weeks before our dealers get them.

FYI: The Hasbro version of Meister has already been released in Hong Kong (Hong Kong usually gets Hasbro stuff about a month before it arrives at US stores), and some people have since bought him off eBay.

More pics from Coredo Garage Event at Autobase Aichi.

Also note the "celebrity custom" version signed by Japanese model Mayuko Iwasa.

Additionally, a Yahoo Japan auction showcases the first pics of red Meister in package.

Kinda sad aint it, that the winner of that thing values it so little. I'm pretty sure that if I won that, I'd hang onto it for a while, even if it is fugly.

It kinda reminds me of that VW Polo. She has obviously been drinking the same dodgy water as the designers who thought of the colours for energon toys, only this is more subtle.
