G1 dvd recommendation

Post by Repticon »

I want to collect g1 on Dvd but I need some advice. Are the boxsets too expensive right now? Is it true that sony acquired the rights for g1 and will release them on dvd (meaning lower prices)? Which sets do you recommend?

i collected the metrodome sets, the first one came with a shiny tin to keep them all in so i'd recommend those. there are offers on them popping up all the time so tryamazon, ebay, hmv or anyother good hi-fi store

I'd recomend starting at the begining and work your way back.
and the Takara Collection recently released Headmaster
which was never released in the us, It's been subtittled so I would wait til they come out with it in english
It tells the story after the end of season 3, with the reapearance of rodimus prime, optimus disapears again and ultra magnus is assassinated by sixshot

Still not released in the US probalbly never will be I have A copy though and its okay. Overused characters poor plots and even worse voice acting plague the show. All you need to play the dvds are a dvd player that reads pal.

It's English, Jim, but not as we know it. Seriously, I'd kill for a good quality dub of Headmasters. Not to mention episode titles that don't give away EXACTLY what happens.
