[ART] Critique my drawing?

This is a drawing I did of a character I made that is based on one of the seekers from MTMTE part 1. His name is Crossfire.

It is not finished yet, but I would appreciate any feedback anyone has

reminds me of the old school Marvel comics and/or cartoon. very good! maybe make the cockpit section of the chest a bit longer...

That is pretty much the style I'm going for. I've always liked the 'Animated' look, and I'm not a big fan of newer comic art were everything’s is two million colors and you can't tell anything apart.

Oh, and the reason for the short cockpit is be that’s how it was drawn in his one-and-only TV appearance.

I remember him . He was the one that looked like he had a flamethrower. Nice drawing

Right now, I'm working on Manta Ray; you can see the rough sketch here

After that, I'm planning to do characters that never got much coverage; for example, toys that never got on TV, most of G2, and guys like Crossfire who didn't even get a name.

Thanks for the comments; I'm in the process of coloring Manta Ray as we speak. I'm still tweaking Crossfire as well, trying to find a happy medium with the shading and to improve him 'cause right now he looks okay; but he can't compete with most other fan-art and looks pretty sub-par.

Can definitely see the resemblance.

As a general tip, do all computer/colour-y stuff at a high resolution before shrinking down and tidying up. You might want to try some slight gradients.

Here's the new and improved Crossfire now with slightly more shading.

Oh yeah, as requested in that sticky thing-a-ma-bob, this can be put on this site, if like every talented artist suddenly dies and there's a void to be filled...
