Hope so, though I'm not holding my breath...

I expect them to offer downloadable characters, but I wouldn't be surprized if they keep Jazz and Shockwave as exclusives.

The 3 pre order characters are in the first dlc with 2 new characters and 4 maps

Yes, most likely:

Whatever was up on the XBox site, it's since been taken down.

This new DLC sounds good , I hope it's not more than 800 points cause if thats the case I can't see myself buying it. Adding Onslaught as a playable character sounds like it will be sweet, can't wait to see what they did for him.

Well that is nice to hear, it makes me glad that their not being the asses about it I'd expect them to be.

As for speculation of the point cost, I'm betting it's gonna be 1200, we can hope for 800 or less though.

I would imagine it would be 800 seeing as 3 of the characters are technically available? Also you only get 2 mp maps and 2 for escalation which is small compared to other games map packs

I'm going to hazard an estimate on the higher end for us- I don't know if points costs are the same for everyone.

As a general FYI- I've shifted the WFC Toy discussion to Toys.

Second run, got two levels on my scout, this is despite the bragging of a couple of PC guys who are using 'locator' cheats and auto-targeter cheats for the PC version of the game. That's right, they don't have to aim to shoot now or anything. And if you're a Scout, you're screwed, since they can instantly target invis too.. woo!

This is why PC gaming sucks, honestly. I honestly wish that WFC didn't come out for PC at all now... grrr... assholes.

Your probably right I can see it being 1200 because it sounds like its alot of content in the pack. But I don't think that WFC has a large enough fanbase to make it worth charging 1200 points for this DLC.

Mind you it is Activision and they got away with that price tag on the Modern Warfare 2 packs but that fanbase was huge.

This is kind of a weird place to ask this question, but since it's related to WFC, I thought I'd ask it:

Does anyone play this on PS3? And, for those of you that do, have you had any trouble with your PS3 locking up or shutting down since installing the OS update required for this game (don't remember the version number)?

Yeah, I got it on PS3. I haven't had problems with the PS3 shutting down, though I've had the game freeze a few times (half dozen, at most) since I got it on release.

Kind of. When I did the system upgrade first time, it stopped/stuck at 4%. I canceled it and tried again, it just never did. I restarted the machine and then the upgrade went fine.

Same like Unicron, I did have the game freeze couple times, too, all happened in multi player.

Okay. So hopefully it's it's just the games. Most of the freeze ups have been happening on a different game, but WFC did it also, so I was starting to get worried that it was the new OS that came with the game.

Thanks!

Since I don't own an xbox 360 , ps 3 or a wii, or a computer powerful enough. I'm playing the ds version and it still kicks ass!!!

Mine hase been freezing lately on the loading screen when I try to join a multiplayer match.

I think that the update for the game on 360 may have screwed up the game because I saw that all my single player data is gone too!

I've been playing the game on PS3 for a while now. I stopped playing online, when I unloaded almost all of my bullets in a dudes face, and he still didn't drop. Once I start encountering cheaters on a shooter, 3rd or 1st person, I stop playing the game online. MW2 is rediculous right now. The game isn't bad. The offline campaign is rediculously short though. I beat it the day I started playing. And I didn't do a marathon run.

How can you cheat that way on a PS3??? Didn't he just have the extra armor thing that gives you an additional healthbar?

All three versions of the game use the same servers (currently). It's the PC users that are doing the cheating, by and large - and openly talk about it on their voice-sets.
