Synopsis: Cliffjumper, assigned on a solo mission to investigate Decepticon activity on the barren surface of Cybertron, finds himself face-to-face with an army. However, despite his skills he is overwhelmed by the large number of enemies and soon finds himself imprisoned in a Decepticon base. Cliffjumper relentlessly mocks the Eradicon commander, who tries to force him to translate an Autobot transmission for them. Cliffjumper finds out that it's a scrambled frequency from Optimus Prime, telling them to gather in a new battleground. Being unhelpful, the Decepticons get ready to kill Cliffjumper when out of a sudden Arcee jumps in, and swiftly kills all the Eradicons.

Cliffjumper tries to thank Arcee, who is a bit aloof in the beginning. She hacks into the Decepticons' comm channel through the computers in the base, and finds out that they are building something big in Kaon City. Cliffjumper tries to convince Arcee to take him with her, although Arcee is initially reluctant due to Cliffjumper's brash nature. However, she finally relents, because she could use a backup and Cliffjumper has a ship that could take them to Earth. The two then head off to Kaon.

Featured Transformers: Lots of Vehicons (many killed), Cliffjumper, Optimus Prime (flashback), Arcee.
(Note: throughout the reviews, the Vehicons will be referred to as Eradicons, due to the fact that the reviews were made when the Decepticon drones were known to the fandom by their working name, 'Eradicons', instead of their later-revealed proper homage name, 'Vehicons'.)

Synopsis: Cliffjumper and Arcee slog through the underground sewers underneath Kaon City to reach their destination. Arcee navigates her way through the underground (which used to be part of Old Cybertron) while following the energy readings. They find that the Decepticons are not constructing a weapon, but rather a Space Bridge. Starscream, leading the band of Decepticons there, monologues that they will rejoin Megatron's forces on Earth and wipe out the Autobots there, and use the energon to revitalize Cybertron. The Autobots consider using the Space Bridge to transfer them to Earth, but decide that deactivating it should be first priority.

Cliffjumper acts as a diversion, pretending that he had defected, angry at being left by Optimus, and 'warns' Starscream that Arcee is hunting for him. While Starscream and his troops are preoccupied with Cliffjumper, Arcee sneaks to the controls and sets the bridge to explode. The Autobots battle, and destroy several Vehicons but Starscream orders all his troops to attack. Before the bridge explodes, Arcee, seeing that they can't fight the massed number of Decepticons, asks Cliffjumper to trust her as they take a leap of faith into the portal...

Letters By: Chris Mowry & Robbie Robbins

Synopsis: Cliffjumper and Arcee are thrown out of the Space Bridge portal in a desert in the middle of nowhere on Earth. After a brief hug of joy, the Autobots walk around, stopping on a run-down, abandoned gas station. As they marvel at the strange planet, Arcee and later Cliffjumper scan alternate modes of the local vehicles.

Nearby, Starscream also land, and after interrogating a rabbit, scans a fighter jet. Cliffjumper and Arcee discuss their next move, but Starscream abruptly attacks, and in the resulting bombing run Arcee is catatonic. Starscream emerges from the smokes, holding one of Arcee's arms as Cliffjumper holds his injured friend...

Synopsis: Seeing Arcee damaged, Starscream taunts Cliffjumper, and he opens fire in rage. The two trade blows until Cliffjumper brings down a rock formation above the Decepticon. However, Breakdown arrives and pounds Cliffjumper away, having received Starscream's signal. Breakdown easily knocks Cliffjumper to the ground. Arcee distracts Breakdown with an energy bolt, preventing him from dealing the killing blow.

Starscream orders Breakdown to pull him out. The Autobots try to sneak away. Arcee begs to be left behind since she is a burden, but Cliffjumper refuses to do so, even when under heavy fire. Just as the two are knocked down, helpless, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee arrives. Optimus easily dispatches Breakdown, while Bumblebee knocks Starscream away. The Decepticons escape, and Optimus welcomes the two new Autobots to their ranks. They enter the groundbridge back to their base, and Optimus tells his troops that this is just the beginning.
